A day out on the slopes, no kids

Grandpa and Grandma M were recently in town, so Linnea and I took advantage of the extra help and hit the slopes! They flew in on a Tuesday and we wasted no time feeding them to the wolves (or should I say coyotes!) and headed up to Loveland the following day. Timing was perfect, just on a tail end of a small storm in the mountains, making for excellent skiing. The slopes were very quiet, and we literally would ski down and around straight onto the chair lifts. Somehow we managed to get the first RidgeCat ride of the day and first tracks down Tikler, a pretty fun wide open run off the ridge with lots of fresh powder. It was a cold day but nothing a fresh chili-dog couldn’t fix! After a few more ridge hikes followed by some lazy blue runs we called it day. Back home, everyone survived although apparently the grandparents couldn’t handle the play area at McDs.
