One of my favorite things for Saturday mornings is to go McDs with William. It’s a pretty relaxing way to start the day, especially since William loves the hotcakes and running around the playhouse like a wild boy. From there we made a quick stop at the bank and then it was up to Conifer to buy a canoe. Linnea’s been talking about getting one for a while and we found a used one that we liked. On our way back we made a detour at the Morrison Cider days. It turned out to be a hit and William was captivated by the police 4-wheeler. He and Linnea took a little wagon ride too. All the fun was enough to tire the little boy out so we headed home for nap time while we cleaned the house. Later in the afternoon we headed to Bear Creek to try out the canoe. It floats and nobody even fell in despite Linnea’s shenanigans! Linnea paddled us around the reservoir while I trolled for fish. William got more and more adventuresome and was trying to crawl all over the bottom. During our paddle we even spotted a bear running around the reservoir–what a crazy sighting! Afterwards we had a little picnic by the water and then headed back home to call it a day!
