Awanas and Skiing

William has spent his Monday nights this year attending an AWANA group that has a 2 year old’s class. He made some great friends and was blessed with amazing teachers. He is always a little hesitant to try new things and in large groups often watches from the back, but with the love and encouragement of Ms. Pam, Mr. Jim, Ms. Terri and Ms. Chloe he really became comfortable and enjoyed himself. It was so fun each week to hear him talk about playing with Mr. Jim or singing with Mr. Will and to see him smiling. In fact at the awards ceremony for the end of the year William earned the “Buddy” Award for being such a good friend to everyone in the class. The class mascot is a puggle (baby platypus) and so William received a stuffed puggle and you could tell he was very excited. We will miss seeing Ms. Pam each week.

We got in one more day of skiing with our friends the Schappas at Loveland. William was brave and went on the big chair lift and gets stronger and more skilled each time we go. It was a crazy closing day with bright sun and blowing snow.
