Here’s a quick post and update on our last foster dog. Like many of the other foster dogs, JoJo came to us from somewhere down in New Mexico. We were a little apprehensive about taking him, since he had only 3 legs and recently had the other one amputated. Well, it turned out that there was nothing to worry about. JoJo did surprising well getting around and always had a lot of energy. He loved to go for walks up on South Table Mountain would go hopping around as fast as possible. He also was always super excited when we arrived back from work and would jump up and greet you. One time when Linnea came home and he was so excited that he jumped off the back deck (pretty high) and abruptly wiped out. He also loved to curl up next to you on the couch at night and fall asleep on your lap. Occasionally he roll right off the couch while sleeping. Needless to say, now Maddy thinks she gets to take naps on couch. Well, after our friends took care of JoJo one weekend while we were out of town, they decided they just had to adopt him. We’ve really been enjoying the excitement of taking in different dogs and looking forward to the next one.

So, how many legs did the dog have? Its a good story, and I think I would have a hard time giving that dog up! Love, MOm

3 legs — missing its front left. Definitely the most friendly/loving dog we had. We weren’t trying that hard to get him adapted until our friends decided they wanted him!
