Settling In

Its hard to believe but Joshua is almost a month old! Here are a few snapshots of life over the past couple of weeks. Joshua continues to do a good job of eating, sleeping and making dirty diapers. William is adjusting to sharing his mom and dad with a brother and we’ve had some tough moments but he also covers Joshua with kisses, likes to hold him and laughs whenever he gives a fist pump. Joshua had a good 2 week check up and survived having his frenulum clipped. He sleeps well but is getting more alert and awake each day. Before my parents left we enjoyed a night at Chuck E Cheeses. It was a little overwhelming for Will but he loved inserting the tokens, riding in Chuck E’s car, and any of the sports games. I’m figuring out the balancing act of taking care of two little ones on my own. After a week of it being me and the boys the key seems to be getting William enough exercise. Thank you for good friends and MOPS! We’ve had some great weather allowing us to enjoy some fun play times at several local parks. Saturday was extra nice so we made it out for Joshua’s first “hike” up at open space park near Golden. No antler sheds yet but lots of sign and we saw a small herd of mule deer. Of course the weather has turned now and its back to snow activities. Days (NIGHTS) can seem long but the weeks are flying by and we are trying to soak up the moments.
