Snowy Kick-off to Summer

Triple Trouble!!! I go back and forth between rolling with laughter and rolling my eyes in exasperation at these three boys.

In spite of the cooler temperatures and the snow on the ground we headed up to Camp Hale for Memorial Day Weekend. Thanks to the propane heater and with a little care for the water pipes we were very comfortable. We explored the old camp, fished and did some rock scrambling. Relaxing around the campfire was just the medicine we needed. We even saw a MOOSE by the Eagle River and tracks coming right through camp.

We finished the weekend off by attending the 10th Mountain Division Memorial Day Service which is who trained at Camp Hale during WWII. It was filled with special moments honoring those that sacrificed for our country. As a personal connection my Grandpa Harold served with the 10th though he joined the Division in Texas before being deployed to Italy.
