Snowy Sunday

Today we woke up to the kind of snow that I had always imagined Colorado and Denver to have. By the end of the day I would estimate accumulations around 20″ in Golden. Since I was scheduled to play the trumpet in church this morning, we were not able to make it up to the slopes for skiing, but nonetheless had a lot of fun messing around in town. We still had our sled rigged up from camping last weekend, and hooked it up to Maddy. She liked to run with it, and probably would have done a good job pulling little nieces and nephews like Audra or Tyler, if they could hold on.

Maddy was particularly in her prime element today, and besides playing with coyotes, snow is what she lives for. Lucky for her, she got to play up on South Table Mountain, and later, bound through endless snow-drifted fairways on the local golf course. I think it is safe to say that she will sleep well tonight!

The kids loved seeing maddy run….they want to come play! The snow looks like a lot of fun.

After it was all over, Golden probably had the most snow — right around 2 feet. Maddy was dead tired last night and decided she had to lay on the couch.

Looks like Maddy is indeed in her glory. Linnea looks like she enjoys riding a lot more than climbing! What a life. The kids would have definitely had a ball with the dog and sled! Supposedly we are supposed to get snow tomorrow night–probably the off shoot of what you had. Thanks for fun pics.
