Spring Skiing

There are very few days as wonderful as a blue bird day of skiing in Colorado. It was closing weekend for Loveland Valley so we decided to take William up for another day of skiing. Dave and I took turns with each of the boys and we even met up with a family from church which made the lodge time more enjoyable. William remembered everything from the first time we took him and was so excited to ski again. He managed several trips on the chair lift but liked the magic carpet better because he could do it all by himself. His favorite part is to “shuffle his feet” to get himself going and he wanted to follow the ski school kids in the bunny trail through the trees. We thought we’d only get a few laps in but William had other ideas. Every time we came in for a break he would grab a quick snack then point back to the slopes and kept going strong till 2pm. I think Joshua liked the fresh mountain air and both boys snored away the whole drive back.

Loved the “bluebird skiing:” what a sky, what beauty, what fun!!! Pics were great, esp. the “up close” of Will with his runny nose. And, the video took the prize! Most of all, it was wonderful to see the fun you were having as a family! Thank you.
P.S. Maybe I need to start over as Will, and have someone take me skiing as a baby–I don’t know if there still might be a little hope????? Congrats to Will–great start! Love, Grandma M

It’s never too late! We can rig up a harness and you can ski side by side with William. Better yet, we could put you in the ‘Little Wigglers’ Ski School. The beginner hill at Loveland is perfect and quite entertaining with people of all ages trying to learn for the first time.
