Winter Came Early!

It’s been a snowy November in Colorado this year and we have been taking taking full advantage with early season skiing. Opening day for Copper Mountain was November 8 and it just worked out to take Will and Josh up for a half day on the slopes. It was a bluebird day with surprisingly good coverage and we braved the one and only open blue run ‘raceway’. The boys did great and I skied behind to protect from all the crazy skiers. We made it out skiing again on the 23rd with more terrain open including a few green runs. It was another Spring-like day will blue skies and warm temps. I’m not sure what we will do when it is actually cold and snowy out. Now it is almost Thanksgiving day and we are coming out of a major snow storm in Denver. We were on the southern edge of it but still received a solid 14 inches or so all in one shot overnight. We had fun tubing in all the fresh powder down the hill by our house and building snow forts in the backyard. The boys had off from school and we hunkered down with the rest of the city, spending much of the day shoveling and digging out!
