Happy First Birthday, Joshua!!!
You are such a special little boy. We couldn’t imagine life without you. And yes, it is hard to remember and keep celebrating on January 5th but it is so special to think of all the amazing things that have happened in the past year. Joshua seems to have outgrown any health concerns and weighed in at 17 pounds for his check up putting us onto the growth chart finally! He is 28″ long and continues to be a mover. He isn’t quite walking on his own but gets around quickly, loves climbing, and can’t be left out of anything. He’s a little bit of a daredevil too which keeps me on my toes.
It was truly a winter day in Denver for Josh’s birthday. There was a winter storm that blew through that closed schools so we got to play in the snow with our friends Brody and Quinn. Then in the evening we had a quiet family celebration. Joshua has decided he is a big fan of meatballs so it was spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. William was so excited he went about yelling Happy Birthday to Josh most of the day. Joshua absolutely loves all things water so we got him a water play table. It’s a little tricky to use in the winter but an unfinished basement, wading pool as a spill mat, and warm tap water makes it possible. Joshua had fun playing with his cake and had a few bites but seems more of a savory than sweets boy.
