Little William did great on the trip home. Grandpa Butler got us back from the coast to the airport with plenty of time to spare and getting through security was much calmer than the outgoing trip. We even had some time to play games with Rima who was headed back to Anchorage around the same time. We had great views of Rainier at the beginning of the flight and William feel asleep soon after. It is hard to believe that it was just last summer when I climbed Rainier with the CMC. Funny thing is that we saw another world perks national traveler and fellow CMCer on the flight returning from climbing some peaks in Alaska. Upon deboarding the plane, we made a quick detour to the cockpit where the pilot was more than happy to let little William sit in his seat. They both had big grins on their faces! We finally ended up getting home about 1a after a snafu missing a bus. Now, we’re getting settled back in and William seems to be bored with only two faces to keep him happy. He’s picked up the whimper cry too and is a pro at using it when he wants to be held.
